This Halifaxian band is all over the place musically and thank the good lord for it, this album never gets boring. Caledonia’s roller-coaster ride through the indie landscape is great…. As soon as the game was over I wanted another dose of country, indie, pop, soul, whatever… doesn’t really matter, adrenaline rush – Give me More. Canada has a knack for writing iceberg music that is real and truthful; this time around Canadian adorned, Caledonia jab the royal finger up the pooper of U.S and A, kinda making the listen a bit more enjoyable. Caledonia bassist Zac Crouse explains that “We Are Americans is “definitely a political title – we did it on purpose. It wasn’t like – what? That’s political? It wasn’t an accident. We’re mostly making fun of ourselves and other Canadians. We’re all so smug and kind of arrogant in some ways. We’re often just as bad as Americans – there’s just less of us, but we’re still wasting, we’re still polluting.”

Being a Canadian myself, “I BELIEVE” Music lovers will find the icy beauty, and connect to the snowflake purity. This is indie music for the Canadian masses, if the world can notice all the better. Music never dies and this ditty will be found years from now and make the inhabitants of then Earth groove, smooth and move their little green asses to this country, bluegrass, shoegaze infused digital data…. as the two moons set over the arctic horizon.
