The new LP is called SOFT-CORE, and I’m really excited for you to hear it. I’ve been working on it for two years and it reflects several upgrades that have been completed in the interpersonal relationship segment of my operating system. The album features collaborations with Alison Moyet, Zombie Nation, Dean Wareham, and Outputmessage. I have called the album SOFT-CORE because the toughest machines in the world are actually the softest ones.
The collaboration tracks are probably some of the best on the CD. Once again, My Robot Friend defies classical genres of music. Technically, it’s electronica with hints of Trance, but it’s got a bit of a folk feel to it. Frankly, it’s great music to do things to, Dance, work, design a robot army – you name it. Howard does all the music himself, in his apartment. It’s a testament to D.I.Y. music making that he’s making a modest living off of it.

New York based My Robot Friend, consisting of Howard Robot and his fantastic tools, here is an interview from Wired.
