LIARS need no presentation, do they? They’re back in Portugal for the first time since 2006, when they shared the bill with Comets on Fire, and after cancelling their shows in 2008 to pursue a much more profitable tour supporting Radiohead. Liars will be presenting their latest album, “Sisterworld”, headlining the first day of the festival, playing in the Milhões stage at 2AM.
Portugal is known (is it?) by its summer festivals that are actually sunny. For the first time, Bolachas will be covering one of them. If you do visit Bolachas, you should have seen the Milhões de Festa (that’s Millions of Party) banner below the header by now. MdF is a relatively new summer festival that takes place at the end of July (next week: 22/23/24) at the town of Barcelos, northern Portugal. Great food, cheap ticket & beer, plenty of room for everyone, camping with actually decent conditions, a pool with a goddamn clown in it, dozens of bands. We’ll be writing a couple of posts about the bands which will play on each day of the festival during the next week, starting today. Oh, and while we don’t really care about Twitter, we do have an account that was used during Primavera Sound 2010 (I wish the full report was still online but this year’s databank crash dumped almost two full years of blogging).
