Mavis Staples’ Livin’ on a High Note came out today and is on our spotlight this week!
Sam Beam, aka Iron and Wine is back with a new album, Ghost on Ghost, out April 16 on Nonesuch/4AD. “Lovers’ Revolution” is the first song taken from it and it’s jazzier than anything he has done before. Can’t say I saw this coming but on first listen it sounds fantastic. Just look at that bass. By the end of the song, I already changed my mind about what my most anticipated album of the year is.
