Iron Maiden called and they set the phone on fire.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p><a name=\"more\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">After Iron Maiden, it\u2019s Black Sabbath\u2019s turn to dial someone. They obviously choose <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/graveyardsongs\">GRAVEYARD<\/a><\/strong>, a Swedish act that draws most of its influence from the greatest hard rock bands of the 70s with a hint of blues. Avenged Sevenfold should call them, the Swedes may be able to help them stop being shitty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/bornalionband\">BORN A LION<\/a><\/strong> will have the honor to open the big stage. Though I haven\u2019t seen this bluesy Portuguese-Brazilian act since early 2007, they were pretty solid back then and I can bet they still are.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">VICE STAGE<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/zunzunegui\">ZUN ZUN EGUI<\/a><\/strong> is math-rock gone on vacations. <em>Partiest<\/em> band of the day? Can\u2019t miss these guys.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/wearelobsters\">LOBSTER<\/a><\/strong> is Portugal\u2019s answer to Hella. They\u2019re known for their short but intense live shows, and while they haven\u2019t played shows in a while, the duo should be in top shape for this.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/iflucyfellrock\">IF LUCY FELL<\/a><\/strong> are another Portuguese band that will make their comeback in Barcelos. Drawing influences from the American (post-)hardcore scene, they were widely regarded as one of the best Portuguese bands of the 00s, both in studio and live. Lead singer Makoto Yagyu will be leading the chaos on the Vice stage with his crazy stage antics. I wouldn\u2019t be surprised if their show ends up being considered the best of the night.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">POOL STAGE<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Straight from Ankara, Turkey comes <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/hayvanlaralemi\">HAYVANLAR ALEMI<\/a><\/strong> (something like \u201cAnimal Kingdom\u201d in English). Found by the marvelous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sublimefrequencies.com\/\">Sublime Frequencies<\/a>, Hayvanlar Alemi is a cocktail of Middle Eastern vibes and pure surf&#8217;n&#8217;roll. And while I don\u2019t think it\u2019s a good idea to surf in a pool, I could still listen to this for hours and hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Local <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Rock-Sem-Merdas\/194679530574717?ref=ts\">cut-the-bullshit rockers<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/theglockenwise\"><strong>THE GLOCKENWISE<\/strong><\/a> had just played <a class=\"hoverZoomLink\" href=\"http:\/\/blitz.aeiou.pt\/iv\/0\/392\/91\/rc78498ritacarmo-e4db.jpg\">dusty<\/a>, sold out Super Bock Super Rock festival last weekend and one year after storming the festival\u2019s main stage, they\u2019re back to MdF to play near the pool where they shot the video for their first single, \u201cBardamu Girls\u201d, which you can watch below.
