MILH\u00d5ES STAGE<\/h2>\n

LIARS<\/strong><\/a> need no presentation, do they? They\u2019re back in Portugal for the first time since 2006, when they shared the bill with Comets on Fire, and after cancelling their shows in 2008 to pursue a much more profitable tour supporting Radiohead. Liars will be presenting their latest album, \u201cSisterworld\u201d, headlining the first day of the festival, playing in the Milh\u00f5es stage at 2AM.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00c6THENOR<\/a><\/strong> may seem a bit out of place, playing the main stage at 8h15pm. This \u201csuperband\u201d composed of Stephen O’Malley (of Sunn O))) fame), Kristoffer \u201cGarm\u201d Rygg and Daniel O’Sullivan (both from Ulver) will be presenting their latest record \u201cEn Form for Bl\u00e5\u201d under some daylight on an open space and Current 93\u2019s David Tibet won\u2019t be there, but I\u2019m sure they\u2019ll handle the situation. They\u2019re trver than all of us, after all.<\/p>\n

VICE STAGE<\/h2>\n

SHIT AND SHINE<\/a><\/strong>. Three drumkits, machinery, a wall of amplifiers, chaos! File under: \u201cnever listened to an album, this was made to see live\u201d.<\/p>\n

\n

VEADOS COM FOME<\/a><\/strong> is one of the Portuguese bands coming back for this festival after a 5 year hiatus (they even have a .tk website! Take that, bands that pretend to be vintage<\/em>). The trio coming from the beautiful town of Santo Tirso<\/a> will play their frantic guitar+guitar+drums instrumental rock in the Vice stage at 3:30AM. Eish ke fdp de festa<\/em>.<\/p>\n

L&L STAGE<\/h2>\n

DIRTY BEACHES<\/a><\/strong> is the moniker of the Canadian of Taiwanese origin Alex Zhang Hungtai. He will be playing his good-vibed, dirty<\/em> brand of blues’n’roll on the Lovers and Lollypops stage at 5PM. Get off the pool for a while and come see this guy, please.<\/p>\n

\n

POOL STAGE<\/h2>\n

There\u2019s no such thing as a Milh\u00f5es de Festa without BLACK BOMBAIM<\/a><\/strong>. Taking the place of the Chilean band F\u00f6llakzoid, that unfortunately can\u2019t make it to the festival, the local psych\/stoner band will most likely be showcasing some music from their forthcoming second LP (which will contain some awesome collabs from the likes of Adolfo Lux\u00faria Canibal (M\u00e3o Morta), Noel Harmonson (Comets On Fire) and Isaiah Mitchel (Earthless)).<\/p>\n

\n

HILL<\/strong><\/a> is a new Portuguese project, born out of two bands who played the festival last year (Miguel Azevedo from Plus Ultra and Jo\u00e3o Guedes from Sizo, two bands from Porto) and they\u2019re going to open the festivities, playing the Pool stage on the first day of the festival at 2pm. Three simple ingredients: voice, lots of feedback and drums. There are no live videos available yet, but they do have a couple of songs up on their Facebook page.<\/p>\n

ALL STAGES, EVERY PART OF TOWN<\/h2>\n

LSD MOSSEL<\/strong><\/a> are afraid of stages, so they\u2019ll be playing where and when they feel like doing it. Everyday.<\/p>\n

So yeah, below, you can watch LSD Mossel play their \u201ctoycore\u201d near the Eiffel Tower in Paris and in a filthy river in Portugal.<\/p>\n
