{"id":970,"date":"2012-08-08T10:12:17","date_gmt":"2012-08-08T10:12:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bolachas.org\/testes\/?p=970"},"modified":"2020-09-25T21:24:14","modified_gmt":"2020-09-25T20:24:14","slug":"guest-post-peter-broderick-photographer-and","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bolachas.org\/?p=970","title":{"rendered":"Guest post: Peter Broderick &#8211; photographer and musician"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Peter Broderick is one of those artists who has such a wide range of things he does.\u00a0 At times his music is reminiscent of the more ambient aspects of Aphex Twin; at other times he has kind of a weird version of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.authoritytickets.com\/concerts\/alternative\/benfolds\/benfoldstickets.php\">Ben Folds<\/a> vibe going.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">But one thing that has never varied is his creativity.\u00a0 I actually became familiar with Broderick through his photography on Flickr (which sadly he doesn\u2019t really keep up with anymore), and discovered his music through that channel.\u00a0 He has made so many different kinds of albums, so I guess it shouldn\u2019t have been a surprise that his most recent effort is a semi-interactive multimedia online album called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.itstartshear.com\/\"><em class=\"p1\">It Starts Hear<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">You really have to see this album\/site to believe it, and then you\u2019ll wonder why every artist isn\u2019t doing this.\u00a0 There\u2019s just the right amount of interaction &#8211; you don\u2019t actually have to do anything, but you\u2019re encouraged to click around and read and watch some videos in addition to listening to the songs.\u00a0 It\u2019s engaging without being too in-your-face, and Broderick comes across as intelligent and funny as well as talented.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It\u2019s also nice to dig into the various parts of the site and discover new things every time, and Broderick encourages feedback by allowing visitors to send him text, videos, photos, or even songs in response.
