Lizard Kisses is a boy-girl duo based in Brooklyn, NY, consisting of Cory Siegler and Marc Merza. Their slow, dreamy pop tunes sound like anything you love, but drenched in honey. We hope you like honey. Even if you don’t, you’ll still love them. If you have a something beating deep in your chest that, even vaguely, resembles a heart, that is.
The new album from Toronto’s female duo Tasseomancy (ex-Ghost Bees) has just come out. Drawing (pretty decent!) influences from European neofolk, Ulalume happens to be eerier, denser and even darker than their first album. Also, it’s spookier than your favorite horror movie and will definitely haunt you as you dive into its entrails. The Line of Best Fit has Ulalume up on their Soundcloud account so you can check it before you buy the limited edition candle (yeah, you’re right – it’s a candle! with matches!), or, if you’re not a fan of wax and fire, there’s of course a cd/vinyl edition on Out Of This Spark.
