Yes, it’s another playlist dominated by singer-songwriters. We promise to mix things around next week – there’s still quite a backlog of songs we want to feature! – but with both Wilco and Okkervil River putting out new records you know we had to do this.
We’re back for the high season and this week’s playlist is a double playlist – that means we couldn’t put together a 14-16 song playlist like we do every week or two weeks, but we did a 2h+ playlist with 30 of our favorite tunes from the past weeks, starting with the surprisingly motorik new Lambchop 18min tune and visiting new albums by Angel Olsen (pictured above), Big Thief, Kelsey Waldon, Carl Broemel, BJ Barham, or Cass McCombs.
