Five years in the making, sixteen after their original collaboration, “Superwolf”, Matt Sweeney teams up with Bonnie Prince Billy for its follow-up, “Superwolves”.
Michael Feuerstack is a living legend of the Canadian underground. Between his work as Snailhouse and in his own name, “Harmonize the Moon” is his thirteenth LP. Its ten songs, drifting between classic folk and soft indie rock, are the perfect soundtrack to welcome Spring, if that’s a thing where you live.
The second coming of tindersticks (official) keeps yielding fruits. Everything the band has released since the mid-00s lineup change, from the Constellation to the City Slang eras, has been consistently good. Their 12th album, “No Treasure But Hope”, is amongst the best of the bunch. Don’t be that person who reads “12th album” and instantly looks the other way. Staples and co not only still have it in them; they seem like they’re ageing too gracefully.
Plus: new tracks by Chuck Prophet, Federale, Jesca Hoop, Bill Fay, Joe Henry, Andy Shauf, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Pan•American, Land of kush, Tinashe, Rosalía, Jessie Ware, of Montreal, Wye Oak, William Doyle, …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Scott & Charlene’s Wedding, Ratboys, Hot Snakes, and black midi.

Another summer, another missed opportunity to have a vacation somewhere because there’s nowhere else we’d rather be other than at our little paradise of Paredes de Coura, in northwestern Portugal. The festival runs from the 14th to the 17th of August, but, like always, the fun begins way earlier than that, with four fun-packed, free entrance days with concerts and DJ sets right in the center of the small Minho village.
