After featuring Julia Jacklin’s Crushing as our record of the week in the same day she was announced in our beloved Festival Vodafone Paredes de Coura, we wanted the same thing to happen to The Cactus Blossoms… we hope they’re listening. Their second album, “Easy Way”, is just as catchy as their debut, which landed them a spot in the last Twin Peaks season. We knew from the first couple of singles that Julia Jacklin’s new album would be at least almost as good as her debut. We also know she never wrote a bad song, so a disappointment sounded very unlikely. Still, we weren’t prepared for how great it really is – and we’re so goddamn lucky she’s playing Festival Vodafone Paredes de Coura next August. See you all there.
